Wart Removal Treatment
Warts are the localized outgrowths of the skin in various parts of the body due to various reasons. In common language, the term “Wart” is used for any kind of an outgrowth of the skin in any location irrespective of the cause. Warty growths on the face may be due to skin thinning, due to excessive sun exposure and ageing, also called as DPNs.
The warts are generally seen around the neck, underarms and thighs especially as you grow older and also more commonly in diabetics. These are called as skin tags. Warts make the skin unsightly and are more of a nuisance rather than an inconvenience. On the neck, underarms and the thighs, they sometimes become red and painful and cause considerable discomfort for the person. The viral warts of course require to be removed as soon as possible due to their potential to spread in to the surrounding skin. Warts on the body negatively impact the way you look and how you feel about the way you look. Removal of these from the face causes an improvement in the overall skin complexion.
The wart removal is an easy process and is performed with the help of a radiofrequency probe which ensures it is totally removed from the base and there is no chance of a recurrence. The process takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour depending upon the number of warts to be removed. You may also choose to get the process done in 2 sessions for the sake of convenience if the number of warts is more. The procedure is done under surface anaesthesia for superficial warts by applying an anaesthetic cream and intra-lesional anaesthesia in case of deeper warts/skin tags.
The procedure is done by our expert Dermatologists in the most hygienic procedure room taking at most care in terms of the sterilization of the equipment concerned and is relatively painless. A sensitivity check is done first to ensure you are not allergic to any of the anaesthetic agents being used. |
